Product Description
Issued just two years after the Morgan silver dollar's introduction in 1878, the 1880 Philadelphia Morgan had relatively high mintage of 12.6 million. But surprisingly it's a relative scarcity today. The reason is that tremendous numbers were lost in later U.S. government melts during the world wars — hugely disproportionate to the other mint's issues of the day. Sharply-detailed Extra Fine quality.
