Product Description
Just 5.7 million 1881-O Morgan silver dollars were struck at the Old South's New Orleans branch mint 14 decades ago. After tremendous numbers were melted by the Treasury during the world wars, it's authoritatively estimated that as few as 165,000 may remain in mint-state quality today. That's less than 3% of the original output! The low survival numbers and cost for mint-state puts added pressure on circulated grades, like these sharply detailed Extra Fine quality specimens we are offering.
