Product Description
1886-O Morgan Silver Dollar VF: In many instances, choosing a circulated Morgan for your collection can save you thousands of dollars over mint-state, as is the case of the 1886-O. Average BUs regularly sell for $2,749, owing to an estimated survival rate of 1% – across all grades.
1889-O Morgan Silver Dollar VF: Of the 11.8 million originally struck by New Orleans in 1889, an estimated 1% – less than 45,000 – may survive in Uncirculated grades. The scarcity of this O-Mint issue means that average BU specimens regularly sell for almost $1,200. Considering that price tag, circulated grades – like our Very Fine specimens – are an excellent way to fill a hole in your collection.
1894-O Morgan Silver Dollar VF: In 1894, New Orleans produced 1.7 million Morgans – more than the year's combined output by Philadelphia and San Francisco. For the date, the 1894-O is the toughest issue to find in Uncirculated grades – fewer than 3,300 examples are thought to survive as such. Collectors can easily expect to pay four figures to acquire an average mint-state specimen.
