The 1908-S Indian Head cent went down in history books as the first minor denomination to ever be struck outside of Philadelphia when it was output by the San Francisco branch mint. It was also the first time that the S-mintmark would appear on the humble cent. With just 1,115,000 struck, the 1908-S had the third lowest mintage of the series after nearly a half century of production. Our fantastic Extra Fine quality specimens still retain sharp details of Liberty's intricate headdress and beautifully simple shield and oak wreath reverse. This cent is a must-have for any collector!
