Product Description
1926-D Peace Silver Dollar XF – A 1926 BU Peace dollar can be a tough find in the coin collecting world. Its 2.3 million mintage was just 15% of the first 1922-D Denver Mint output (15.1 million). Perhaps only about 1% have survived to our time in mint-state quality, which puts added collecting pressure on circulated grades. This sharply detailed Extra Fine quality is a step above Very Fine grading, but cost less!
1926-S Peace Silver Dollar XF – The 1926-S Peace silver dollar production rose to 6.9 million, but as little as 1% of the original mintage is estimated to survive in mint-state condition. By contrast, BU specimens of the peak-production 1922 Philadelphia issue are believed to be over 50 times as plentiful as this 1926-S issue is today. Those production and survival numbers make this lightly circulated Extra Fine specimen a good choice for the savvy collector.
