In 1927 and 1928, San Francisco was the only facility to strike half dollars, minting just 2,392,000 and 1,940,000 respectively. Fog City's output dropped again the following year, producing just 1,902,000 business strikes in 1929. While these mintages may appear to be substantial, they pale in comparison to the series' peak output in 1943 of more than 53 million pieces! Act now, as these 90% silver treasures will only get more difficult to find with each passing year. Nicely preserved Very Good quality.
