Product Description
Not only is this WWII 1943 steel cent a high caliber, certified specimen, but it also features a fragment of the original bag it left the U.S. Mint in! With supplies of copper diverted to the war effort a new, ghostly-gray Lincoln cent emerged in 1943. These zinc-plated coins were doomed from the start; they wreaked havoc in vending machines and were also prone to corrosion and rust. Huge numbers of 1943 steel cents were produced with the best of intentions, but only a small portion avoided circulation and remain today in this super-gem MS-66 condition with impressively clean surfaces. Certified by NGC. Our choice of mintmark based on availability.Product Videos
