Product Description
We've acquired a very small number of certified 1944 Mercury silver dimes – not only are these slabbed specimens graded MS-65, but they've also received the coveted classification of "FB," (Full Bands). To earn this designation, the central bands of the reverse fasces must show a complete split in the middle. This important distinction is indicative of a sharp strike, which is a true rarity as many Mercury dimes were weakly struck with incomplete details. Philadelphia struck a massive 231.4 million dimes in 1944, however, a comparatively tiny portion of surviving specimens display Full Bands. Certified by NGC; labels may vary.Product Videos
