Reverse depicts the hallowed structure, surrounded by 13 stars representing the original 13 states of the Union.

1974 First Congress FDC – In 1974 a set of four U.S. postage stamps was issued in preparation for the American Revolution Bicentennial. Featured are the First Continental Congress at Carpenters' Hall and Independence Hall. Each first day cover was cancelled by a U.S. post office. Envelope design may vary.
