The Royal Canadian Mint introduced its silver wildlife series to great acclaim in 2011. These finely crafted bullion coins are struck from the same 99.99% pure silver as the world-famous Maple Leaf and feature engravings of iconic Canadian wildlife species. The coins bear a face value of $5, and the obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, created in 2003 by Canadian portrait artist Susanna Blunt.
