Product Description
In 1982 when the value of copper began to exceed the face value of the cent, the Lincoln penny's composition was modified. The coin's predominantly copper content was changed to mostly zinc. This also caused the cent to lose about 20% of its weight. Additionally, both large and small date issues were minted that year. Our complete set includes all seven of the 1982 varieties in Brilliant Uncirculated quality in a sturdy folder.
