This 1995 silver dollar proof was issued as part of a wide range of commemorative coins honoring the XXVI Olympiad Summer Games held in Atlanta, Georgia. It was the most subscribed of the one-year-only dollars offered. The obverse shows the strength and poise of a male and female gymnast. The reverse features a design, used in all of the 1995 Olympic silver dollars, of the clasped hands of two athletes with the Olympic torch above.
