In 2002, merely 1,139,388 mint sets were produced (less than half the mintage of that date's proof set). All circulation coins are represented, both P & D Brilliant Uncirculated specimens of the cent, nickel, dime, quarter and half dollar, as well as the Sacagawea dollar, which proved to be short-lived in American commerce. Also included are quarters from the enormously popular U.S. 50 State quarter series, commemorating Tennessee, Ohio, Louisiana, Indiana and Mississippi.
