Unlike the regular 2016 U.S. proof set, this big 13-coin set features seven 90% silver issues. Included are the five issues from the America the Beautiful quarter program honoring Shawnee National Forest, Cumberland Gap National Historical Park, Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, Theodore Roosevelt National Park and Fort Moultrie at Fort Sumter National Monument. Another holder contains issues from the U.S. Mint's Presidential Dollar series, which feature presidents Richard M. Nixon, Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan. The final holder features a Lincoln cent, Jefferson nickel, Code Talkers Native American dollar and 90% silver Roosevelt dime and Kennedy half dollar. Each coin is double-struck for crisp raised-relief images, frosted finishes and mirror backgrounds. Silver proof set mintages are always far below the regular proof set's production numbers.
