Silver proof sets are much scarcer than regular proof sets. Since 1992, the U.S. Mint has issued special silver proof sets reviving the tradition of 90% silver dimes, quarters and half dollars. This 1993 second year set in the series had a mintage of 570,213, far below the regular proof set's 2.4 million. Struck by the San Francisco Mint with finest-quality, double-struck engravings, it features beautiful frosted finishes against dazzling mirror backgrounds. Included are superlative cent, nickel, dime, quarter and half dollar proofs.
