Product Description
Morgan silver dollar mintages plunged dramatically in the 1890s, because a relatively high number was already in commerce. In 1892, the Treasury stemmed the New Orleans production to just 2.7 million, only about one-third of the previous year's O-mintmark output. This issue in mint-state quality retails for over $600! Today, as few as 133,000 of the 1892-O issue are estimated to survive in the nicely detailed Very Fine quality we offer or higher grades.
