Product Description
This historic issue was minted 12 decades ago, in the year Theodore Roosevelt became president following William McKinley's assassination. When the Morgan series was suspended in 1904, a large proportion of recent mintages were placed into storage vaults. Huge numbers of stored silver dollars were later lost in government melts. Today it's estimated that less than 2% of this 1902 Philadelphia specimen's original output of eight million may remain in mint-state condition. That puts added pressure on circulated grades like these Very Fine specimens.Product Videos
