In 1962, numismatists estimated that fewer than ten specimens of the 1903-O (New Orleans) Morgan silver dollar existed. It was the undisputed king of the Morgan series - the rarest and most coveted of over 90 different issues. But the last Treasury releases in the 1960s turned up some bags of the 1903-O issue. The century-old 1903-O Morgan is still among the toughest-to-find 20th century keys in the series in BU quality. It's been called the most famous of all mintmarked Morgans from a legend and lore viewpoint. Our Brilliant Uncirculated quality has nice original luster and no sign of wear (some bags marks are present, as is normal).
