Product Description
The one-year-only Delaware Treaty Native American dollar honors the first formal treaty between the U.S. and a Native American Tribe. Introduced in 2000, the compact Sacagawea dollar hoped to revive the dollar coin in commerce, but the public didn't embrace it. Production drastically dropped and these coins are now only issued to collectors. In 2009 one-year-only reverse designs celebrating the contributions of Native Americans to the history of the U.S. were introduced.
