Product Description
The 2015 one-year-only Mohawk Ironworkers Native American dollar honors Native Americans whose work made important contributions to building prominent U.S. landmarks. The inspiring engraving is especially striking in impressive proof form. Introduced in 2000, the compact Sacagawea dollar hoped to revive the dollar coin in commerce, but the public didn't embrace it. Production drastically dropped and these coins are now only issued to collectors. In 2009 one-year-only reverse designs celebrating the contributions of Native Americans to the history of the U.S. were introduced.
