Product Description
The Peace dollar was the inheritor of the Morgan dollar's legacy. Beginning in 1921, the Peace dollar featured a design honoring the end of WW I. This 1923-D second year issue, has a very low survival rate. A silver dollar encyclopedia estimates that less than 1% remain in mint-state quality. Those BU issues sell for twice as much as our retail price for this VF. Only a limited number of Peace dollar mintages included Denver issues. In fact, the next D-mint Peace dollar wasn't output until 1926. Our Very Fine specimens offer clear detailing of the engravings and mintmark with minimal wear.
