This first year 1946-S Roosevelt dime boasts both silver and numismatic value. Adding to that status is its low mintage – just 27.9 million were struck by the San Francisco Mint. While that seems like a substantial figure, it pales in comparison to the number of dimes output these days; in 2023 the Philadelphia and Denver Mints produced a combined 27 billion business strikes! Although our 1946-S specimens are quickly approaching their 80th birthday, they remain in beautiful, lustrous Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
