The Capped Bust silver dime was struck from 1809 to 1837; Liberty wears the Phrygian cap surrounded by thirteen stars that represent the original Thirteen Colonies. Inscribed on its reverse was "10 C." which was the first time a denomination was expressed on a U.S. dime. In the series span of 29 years, mintages ranged from a low of 51,000 to as high as 1.4 million; a figure that pales in comparison to the modern day dime's output. Very Good quality. Our choice of date.
