1837-1891 Seated Liberty Silver Dime G-VG – We don't often feature these small silver treasures but recently found a stash of mixed types and put them on sale. The 90% silver Seated Liberty dime was output for over half a century from 1837 to 1891. Minor alterations to the engravings occurred throughout the series, resulting in an array of varieties. 1838-1891 Seated Liberty Silver Quarter G-VG – The elegant Seated Liberty silver quarter shared its obverse design with five other U.S. coin denominations used throughout the 19th century, including those shown to right and left. The allegorical Liberty is holding a shield in one hand and Phrygian cap atop a staff in the other. Good to Very Good quality. Our choice of date and mintmark. Variety type may differ from one shown.
1839-1891 Seated Liberty Silver Half Dollar – First introduced in 1839, the Seated Liberty's design was modeled off of Britannia, the figure shown on British coinage. The 50¢ piece shared its design with other denominations of the time: the half dime, dime, quarter and silver dollar.
