1887-O New Orleans Morgan Silver Dollar, In 1887, New Orleans output 11.5 million Morgans, but with huge numbers of silver dollars already in circulation, much of its mintage was placed into storage. Today, this 1887-O Morgan has an estimated mint-state survival rate of about 1%, as many were melted and converted to bullion during the war years.

1887-S San Francisco Morgan Silver Dollar, The San Francisco Mint struck just 1,771,000 Morgans in 1887. Less than 3% of its original mintage is thought to exist today in mint-state quality.
