The Morgan series was suspended after 1904 and six years later existing hubs were destroyed. Congress later decided to have a final Morgan dollar production in 1921. The restored engravings generally had less relief than earlier Morgans. Another unique attribute is that the 1921 issue is the only San Francisco date to carry a Microscopic S mintmark. This special feature makes the 1921-S issue stand out in any S-Mint collection. Only a small fraction of its mintage survives. Very Fine quality.
