1927-D Peace Silver Dollar VF – Of the five Peace dollar dates issued by Denver, its 1927 output of 1,268,900 business strikes was the lowest. Today experts estimate that of the original mintage, as few as 9,000 1927-D silver dollars may be extant in uncirculated grades. This limited survival rate puts added collecting pressure on the number of circulated specimens available in the marketplace, like nicely detailed Very Fine examples we are offering here.
1934-D Peace Silver Dollar VF – No silver dollars were issued from 1929 to 1933 during the Depression. As part of FDR's economic recovery plan, in 1934 the U.S. Treasury was required to purchase bullion and produce silver dollars. The 1934 Peace issues had a relatively limited production and only a small portion of those coins are thought to remain; it's estimated that perhaps 7% of Denver's 1934 mintage exists today in a collectible state.
