Times were tough in America in the 1930s. The Great Depression swept through the nation in the early part of the decade, destroying the livelihoods of many of its citizens – leaving thousands of Americans without two nickels to rub together in its wake. As the country rebounded, a Buffalo nickel could still buy a Coca-Cola or a cup of coffee. This five coin San Fran set includes a 1930-S, 1931-S, 1935-S, 1936-S and 1937-S specimen. No nickels were struck in 1932 or 1933. Well-preserved Fine to Very Fine condition.
