Product Description
We all know 1959 was a landmark year for the Lincoln cent. It was the pennys 50th anniversary and the Lincoln Memorial reverse replaced the long-standing Wheatie design. But did you know that the very next year in 1960, the U.S. Mint had to make other design alterations to the engravings? The last two digits of the date were small and oddly shaped. The Mint made adjustments part way through the year, which led to two different 1960 Lincoln cent varieties. This Denver Mint set includes both Small Date and Large Date issues. These Brilliant Uncirculated cents show the varied size dates clearly. Now over a half-decade-old, these historic pennies are still wonderfully affordable!
