The fourth release of the American Women Quarters series honors Adelina "Nina" Otero-Warren, a leader in New Mexico's suffrage movement and the first female superintendent of Santa Fe public schools. Otero-Warren, a descended from elite early settlers of Spanish-speaking origins, was a central figure in the movement for women's suffrage in New Mexico. A leader in the National Woman's Party she mobilized support for the cause among both Spanish and English-speaking communities.
