Minted from 10% silver, these were the final circulating peso coins with precious metal content. Shown is a bust of José Morelos, a Roman Catholic priest and revolutionary rebel leader who led the Mexican War of Independence movement in the early 1800s. The reverse features the National Coat of Arms of Mexico, an eagle clutching a snake in its beak while perched atop a cactus. These issues remain in Uncirculated condition. Our choice of date.
