Product Description
This superlative 1977-1979 silver coin proved to be North America's last issued for use in commerce. A hard-asset support for the peso, this 100 pesos denomination was discontinued and recalled after the price of silver soared in 1979. Shown is José María Morelos, among the martyred pantheon of the Republic's founding fathers. On the obverse is a stylized modern depiction of the traditional engraving of the Mexican Eagle killing a snake. Brilliant Uncirculated quality.
