Product Description
These affordable, beautifully illustrated notes from North Vietnam are denominated 100, 200, 500, 1,000 and 2,000 dong. The dong has been the currency of Vietnam since May 3, 1978. Issued by the State Bank of Vietnam, each of the five Uncirculated notes reverse sides feature everyday scenes of Vietnam, from working farmland to the shipyard. Notably, as of 2012 the use of coins has decreased greatly in the country in favor of banknotes. In fact, coins are generally not accepted in retail, but only at some banks.
