Funny Money – These curious silver certificates are nicknamed "funnybacks" due to their striking back design. U.S. notes were once so large that they were referred to as horse blankets, but as a cost saving measure that began with these funnybacks of 1928, dimensions were reduced to the small size we are familiar with today. Once redeemable for a silver dollar, the 1928 funnyback was withdrawn from commerce decades ago. Our Series A notes are in About Uncirculated condition.
