Stampless Cover — These 1798–1803 New York stampless folded letters represent highly desirable early American postal history. The distinctive "clamshell" (or scalloped oval) postmarks were used exclusively by the New York City Post Office and reflect a classic era of pre-adhesive postal history. These folded letters without envelopes were all mailed and typically contain datelines and business or family correspondence. Very limited quantity!
Dutch VOC Copper Duit — First Pennies of the Big Apple – Known by the initials VOC, the Dutch East India Company struck the copper duit for use in its colonies, including the island of New Amsterdam, which we now know as Manhattan. Often referred to as "New York's first penny," these coins traveled around the globe and those that landed in America were used far beyond the Dutch island. Coin is presented in a folio with historical information and certificate of authenticity.
