Product Description
In 1782, the Second Continental Congress selected the Bald Eagle as the National Emblem of the United States. The majestic bird symbolizes America's freedom, strength and democracy. This 90% silver tribute was struck to celebrate the recovery and restoration of the American Bald Eagle and to mark the 35th anniversary of the Endangered Species Act of 1973. Shown on the obverse is a huge American eagle soaring over a landscape of lakes and mountains. The reverse features an elaborate replica of the first Great Seal of the United States that features an eagle. Finest-quality proof minting.
Please note that our modern commemoratives are not always available in the original mint packaging.
