Product Description
The U.S. Mint has not produced the Kennedy half dollar for circulation since 2002. Since then, the popular coin has only been minted in limited numbers for sale directly to collectors. Recent Brilliant Uncirculated Kennedy half dollar mintages have fallen to just a tiny fraction of previous outputs. In 2012, the Philadelphia Mint and Denver Mint both issued an average of 1.75 million Kennedys; drastically less than 215 million minted in 1964 and 21 million in 2000.
