Every Lincoln cent collection needs this hard to find issue. While the vast majority of Lincoln cents are readily available and affordable, some are indeed scarce. Struck during the Great Depression, the 1931 San Francisco Lincoln cent had an unusually low output of just 866,000 pieces. The miniscule number struck gives the 1931 issue the distinction of having the second lowest mintage in over 110 years of the series. Only one other issue — the famous key date 1909-S VDB Lincoln cent — had fewer produced. Well-preserved Fine quality.
