Strictly graded Uncirculated 1880-O issues are sought after with perhaps 15,000 surviving in mint-state quality today. They sell for twice as much as our regular price for that issue in VF quality. Very Fine coins for this dates are much scarcer than the average in the Morgan series — other issues have as many as 20 times the number in this nice circulated quality. The O (New Orleans) mintmark appears below the eagle and wreath on the reverse side.
