Product Description
The Carson City Mint's total Morgan output accounts for just 2% of the entire series; a minuscule figure that only adds to its Wild West allure. The majority of Carson City's 1883 Morgans were stashed away and held in reserve in Treasury bags, left to moulder in vaults for nearly a century. During the Treasury releases of the 1960s, bags containing mint-state specimens of this issue were found and dispersed throughout the numismatic community. Although once relatively plentiful, Brilliant Uncirculated specimens are becoming harder to locate as many are now in private collections.Product Videos
