Product Description
This vintage Morgan silver dollar was struck by the historic New Orleans Mint in the heyday of the series. At the time of its issue, the New Orleans Mint had only recently re-opened after the Reconstruction era in the aftermath of the Civil War. No other coin denomination was struck by New Orleans in 1884, yet the mintage was significantly less than Philadelphia's; almost 50% more Morgans were struck at the principal mint. Clearly detailed Very Fine quality.
