Product Description
We were thrilled to acquire a few of these rare Morgans, but we're over the moon to share that these specimens are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition! The repeal of the Sherman Silver Purchase Act in 1893 led to a drastic plunge in silver dollar production. As a result, that year only 378,000 Morgans were struck by the Philadelphia Mint. In fact, the 1893 issue is the third-rarest of all Philadelphia's circulation strikes — with an estimated surviving population of around 40,000 Morgans it has become a highly desirable acquisition for collectors, especially in finer grades. Ultimately, the low survival rate coupled with demand contributes to this issue's considerable price tag — to demonstrate, the finest known MS-66 specimen to date sold at auction in 2015 for nearly $45,000! Don't miss out on this opportunity to add a fantastic Morgan to your collection!Product Videos
