Product Description
1885-O Morgan Silver Dollar BU – Huge quantities of Morgans were produced by operating mints during the early 1880s. But in 1885, just 9.2 million were output by New Orleans at a time when the facility was producing Morgan dollars exclusively. Many of those coins were stored in Treasury bags and later melted, leaving far fewer today than mintage numbers indicate. The 1885-S and 1885-CC BUs sell for $1,099 and $2,359 respectively, which by comparison makes our lustrous O-Mint specimens a fantastic bargain for the date!
1901-O Morgan Silver Dollar BU – Among 20th century Morgan silver dollars, the date of 1901 is difficult to find in mint condition as many fell into the government's melting pot during the world wars. Of the surviving 1901 issues output by Philadelphia, San Francisco and New Orleans, only the O-Mint Morgan is still affordable in BU quality. Today high grade specimens struck by the principal mint and San Francisco sell for thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars!
