1956 Proof Set – Merely 669,384 were issued by the U.S. Mint on the date when President Eisenhower won a second term. Only one other regular U.S. proof set mintage since has been below a million, and most have been several times higher. These were the finest-quality proof specimens of the date's cent, nickel, silver dime, silver quarter and silver half dollar, each with crisp double-struck engravings on dazzling mirror fields. Packaging on early sets will vary.

1958 Mint Set – Only 50,314 were issued. The next year's mintage was over three times higher and succeeding annual outputs up to sixty times greater! It's easily the key rarity among U.S. mint sets over the past 61 years. Included are Philadelphia and Denver Brilliant Uncirculated specimens of each Franklin half dollar, Washington quarter, Jefferson nickel, Roosevelt dime and Lincoln cent. Twelve of the coins are 90% silver.
