For many Morgan dates, far fewer San Francisco issues were output than Philadelphia or Denver coins. This S-Mint issue represents just2.5% of the 1886 year's total output. That low mintage number means these coins are tough to find and are priced accordingly. Extra Fine quality is often a great choice for scarce issues such as this. Although these XF coins are much more affordable than BUs, they still feature sharp details on both the obverse and reverse engravings and light wear.
