Product Description
The Carson City branch mint was the smallest U.S. minting facility of the time and its total Morgan dollar mintages were by far the lowest of any facility. In 1885 during the heyday of Morgan production, its output of just 228,000 was the smallest CC mintage of the entire series. That year's Morgan output from the other U.S. mints ranged from 1.4 million to 17.7 million. Far fewer survive today in the Brilliant Uncirculated quality we offer. These coveted CC-mintmark Morgan silver dollars are getting more and more difficult to locate.
